Measurement Chain and Signal
The probe senses distance to a conductive target without contact. It must be connected through the correct 3300 XL extension cable to a compatible Proximitor Sensor, which supplies the conditioned voltage used by the monitoring channel. The probe and extension-cable lengths must add up to the Proximitor system length.
Mechanical Selection
The metric 330103 construction uses an M10 x 1 thread without armor. For this order code, confirm the 20 mm unthreaded length, 80 mm overall case length, 1.0 m integral cable and connector clearance against the original machine drawing and installed bracket.
Compatibility and Diagnostics
Confirm the complete probe, extension cable and Proximitor family before energizing the channel. Inspect connector condition, cable continuity and probe-tip integrity; then verify gap voltage, channel OK state and dynamic response. Do not mix a 5 m probe with a Proximitor configured for another system length.
Installation and Environment
Mount the probe at the documented gap and torque practice, preserve minimum cable bend radius and keep the coaxial path separated from high-energy wiring. Connector sealing, housing, conduit and hazardous-area suitability depend on the final installation and must be verified from site records and the product label.
